How the Presence & Energy experiment works

The question

Can people reliably sense the emotional or energetic quality of a space before any contextual information is given?

Method

Participants first enter an unfamiliar space and quietly note any immediate impressions: emotional atmosphere, felt presence, bodily sensations, or other subtle cues. These impressions are recorded without discussion. Only after notes are complete is any information about the space shared, including history, typical use, or significant events. Over time, patterns between blind impressions and known details are compared.

Latest experiment notes

This section will hold the most recent observations from Presence & Energy sessions at Echo Cove: brief logs of locations, first impressions, and how those impressions compare with what was later revealed about each space.

Try it with me

If you are curious about whether you can sense the mood or history of a space, you are invited to join a live Presence & Energy session. We will choose locations together, record blind impressions, and compare notes afterward.
